Run for Matthew: About the Runner

About the Runner

I believe that we should live our lives while remembering that "In the end, the number of prayers we say may contribute to our happiness, but the number of prayers we answer may be of even greater importance."
- Dieter F. Uchtdorf.

My name is Natalie Jangula. I'm proud to say that I'm a stay at home mom and take care of our two young children. I have lived all of my life in Boise, Idaho up until my husband received a dental school acceptance to New York University and moved us to New York three years ago.

I never in my wildest dreams thought we would end up in New York, but I definitely believe we were brought here for a reason. My experience of living in New York has brought so much growth and development into many areas of my life. I have a very strong testimony of the power of service and I have been given many opportunities to keep serving and sharing that love with others. I truly believe that the happiest people are those who do the most for others.

"Perhaps when we come face to face with our maker we will not be asked, 'how many positions did you hold?' but rather, 'how many people did you help?' In reality you cannot love the Lord until you serve him by serving his people."  - Thomas S. Monson

I got into the Brooklyn half marathon which I will be running Saturday May, 18th 2013 in Brooklyn, NY. When I heard about Matthew's situation, I instantly knew I wanted to dedicate this race to him and the McComb family to raise as much money for them as I possibly could.

I love this family and they have not only been an example to me, but they have forever left an impression on my heart. They are true examples of what we all need to strive to be like. Not only are they some of the funniest people I know, but they are in deed some of the strongest.

The McComb family needs support during this trying time. There is no set price on a donation. It doesn't matter how small or large it is, every dime is worth happiness to them. Please help me make a difference in their lives to brighten the road that stands a head of them.

Support my run because I run for Matthew!
Thank you!
Natalie Jangula

  1. I too have known the McComb family since 1999. Working with Tom is a continuing priviledge. Watching their children grow and benefit from Michelle(who has faced her own challenges) and Tom's love and dedication only adds to the poigniancy of this moment. I will certainly add my prayers and support to their need.
